I hear you, part of the reason to purchase.
There are other apps out there that are the same, Pandora does this too.

No problem, hopefully it's something simple.
Have you removed the preference file though? I'd do that first because it's a pretty harmless troubleshooting technique that is generally quite effective. :)
Remember to keep the file so that if it doesn't fix anything, you can put it back where you found it to keep your old settings. :)

It could mean that, or it could mean they just haven't updated the graphite versions of the buttons/loading bars/etc yet. I would love to see them offer more color options, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being just blue and graphite again. :o
I hope they offer more color options, especially for the sidebar icons. I'm not loving the iTunes 10 UI.

Hi, I am about to buy am iBook g3 on eBay. The seller sates that the unit powers on but spits the cd tray out and has the dreaded blinking question mark. Can I just use my Panther install disks to reformat it? Or could this be more serious. Also, will my iBook clamshell ac adapter work on this? Thanks!

I think my biggest concern is having to spend all the time reinstalling my software and if I can avoid that, that MacMini will only be limited to the partition size used on the MBP.
Just so I understand, I should be ok to proceed as I want to then?
Much appreciation for the quick the response.

Hi all,
I need a "cheap", read inexpensive, GSM qwerty keyboard cell phone for my mom. I was going to go on eBay and buy a Blackberry Curve 8310, but then saw it requires a data plan with AT&T. I would like to avoid a mandatory data plan requirement, since she'll never use it.
I just need good audio quality and text messaging.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I worked on that clip alone for about an hour. Then I managed to pull the lower case section out a little bit to disengage it. I also used a modified popsicle stick instead of a black nylon stick  .
heh.. i figured it out. i accessed it from the optical drive's slot. pbfixit says to go in through the little gap you create between the top and bottom half of the base. i ended up putting some nice dents in my pb from trying to wedge stuff in there.. lo' and behold going in through the optical drive and up released it in 10 seconds. i'm going to email them and let them know they suck. that said, i wouldn't recommend pbfixit.com to anyone.

I have not done an SSD per say, but I have made a little side business upgrading the hard drive on 2010 Mac Mini's and selling them on ebay. After having done 10 or so of these, yes you do need to pull the logic board out slightly. The hard drive will not lift up enough to give you the angle you need clear the logic board with out pulling it out.
That said, only pull it out enough to see a small gap of air between the black beisl in the rear and the alum case.
WRT the heat sensors... I have found that the smallest amount of rubber cement works well if you you loose the adhesive when transferring the sensor. 8/10 times you will have plenty of stick left though and wont need to add any.
The black cover I have also assumed was there for air flow as well. If the SSD has a smooth surface, and not logic board to short, you probably can do away with it.
I will say that the OWC video is dead on. Follow it precisely. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SENSORS ON THE HDD. THEY BREAK VERY EASILY!!
I found that out the hard way. I have a new sensor on the way as we speak.
I second everything tek is saying. He's a smart guy :)
TEK - QUESTION - the glue...you can use standard rubber cement? It doesnt have to be a special kind of thermal glue or anything??

You can upgrade the RAM to a maximum of 1.5 GB on later 12" PBs and 1.25 GB on earlier ones, using a 1 GB PC2700 RAM stick.
The hard drive can also be upgraded to (I think) any capacity IDE/P-ATA 2.5" laptop drive.
I don't know of any processor upgrades; you might check Sonnet's website to see if they have any.
Also, video editing and encoding on a G4 is not quite what I'd call "less intensive" use--it can do it, but it'll be slow.
And depending on the processor, Leopard will be OK--the faster the CPU, the better. Leopard on a 867 MHz G4 12" could be painful, though . . .

Try the full reset as iceterminal suggests. May cases of corrupted software can cause battery drainage. Also make sure you are running the most recent OS.
If that does not solves it and you are still on warranty take it to the Apple store for a battery replacement.
Also here is the official Apple info on battery care:
http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html
Hope that helps.

I had the same heating issues while playing WoW on my 15" Late-2009 MBP. I began looking at coolers and decided on the Rain Design mStand. While not an active cooler, it does lift the notebook off the desk surface, providing better air circulation. The aluminum design also helps dissipate heat. As an added bonus, it looks great too.

Meh, i dont want to have to deal with an external keyboard
I suggest the NZXT cooler.

The reviews on that seem to be mixed between it actually cooling things down and the usb ports working?

Considering you're running the WORST version security wise of phpBB I'd suggest you update, it's not hard no matter how many MODs you have, and if you're that worried about it I could even do it for you...
We actually fixed the security hole in the version that is listed for that site. But now we are looking to converting to punbb.

I am using this code to embed an MP3 file into a pop-up window (don't worry, I've got controls and the user actually has to click to start the song):
<embed src="mysongname.mp3" autostart="true" hidden="true" loop="true">
This works fine on IE and Firefox for PC and it works fine on Safari for Mac. The problem is that the song does NOT play on IE or Firefox for Mac! Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Does around 400-450 for a ~700mhz G3 with Airport sound about right? I'm not looking at a particular auction, but as a general guide.
That's too much for a G3. You might as well get an iBook G4 or even a refurb model from the Apple Store if you're prepared to pay that much. The US refurb store currently has 12" iBook G4 1.2 Ghz with CD-ROM for $699.

Can we some pics of white iPhones with cases on? I feel like most case colors would clash too much with the white color of the phone. Can people post pics of their new white phones with cases on?

Hi, I've long been a user of Extensis Suitcase Fusion but found it to be problematic, and buggy - upon startup font sets that are supposed to be active are de-activated, halts shutdown as the App won't quit and has to be forced quit in order to continue shutdown etc.
Just wondered if anyone had any font management recommendations? I've never really tried the Mac OS native Font Book, so does anyone know if that's worth a look or if there's any other good third party options?
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Simon
