Hi,
I applied for 3 year H1B extension for different employer
Atty ,filed wrong Date of Birth in I-129 form.
How to correct this problem??

The attorney can always send an amendment as I believe...But would be good for you to get it cleared...Followup up with the attonrney....Donot let it just slip through....These things have a tendency to take a life of their own and can create lotta headache.,...

Yes, I realize a H1 transfer is needed to work in another company. And 140 is not approved. So the new company has to start GC all over. Too bad, it looks like priority date cannot be ported since it LC is still in process.

Can you get a SSA benefit if you don't have a GC? Isn't that a Catch 22?

Well I dont get SSI benefits but is there a way we can convince USCIS to expedite cases that meet the first condition?

Technically yes. But USCIS looks at cases under a microscope when they see multiple applications from a same applicant. And if the the sponsor is a small firm, you can expect some careful screening. Increasingly USCIS is making efforts to ensure GC system is not abused by people. A lot of companies had in the filed for GC for several employees and GC applications for latter and sometimes former applicants were denied when it was found that the employer cannot show enough funds to support them. Take the risk only when you are sure. Lawyers will be happy to file multiple applications because they will get double their fees. BTW each lawyer generally makes you sign a contract beofre taking a case where the lawyer says that he cannot guarantee GC and if it is denied, lawyer takes no responsibility.

Hi Guys,

I need your opinions/suggestion regarding the following:

I am working as a software professional, my job is a permanent full time job.
I got a labor certification and 140 is still in the process. I am willing to own a company and buying 100% of its shares(not a listed company). The company is incorporated in the state of Michigan. It is a small business company. I will not be serving the company's operations in regular hours and will not be actively involved in the day to day business. I will not be given any designation in the company.
I have the following questions if I own this company:
1. will this have any effect on my current or future any stages(140/485) of Green Card If I own this company.
2. After I own the company, Can I transfer the company profit funds from company bank account to my personal account.
3. Is it possible to own a company without any designation given.
4. After i own this company, will it be treated as I have 2 jobs.

Thank you so much for you time and reading this post.

Please let me know if anyone has any opinion(s) in this situation.
